Student Placements for 2017-2018

As we near the end of the year, classes are created for the next school year.  In doing this, every effort is made to maintain equity and balance in our classrooms.  In making these decisions, we use multiple measures including but not limited to, learning assessment data, student interests, readiness, behavior, gender, EL status and motivation.  Therefore, we do not accept parent requests for specific teachers. 

If you would like to put in writing some information describing the learning environment you feel works best for your child, his/her strengths and your concerns, you may use the Student Placement Information Form which is available in our school office. We will definitely consider your feedback as part of our process, but we cannot guarantee a specific teacher or placement. As such, please do not make any requests on paper or in person for a specific teacher.

If you would like to provide us with more information about the needs of your child, please use the optional form, but keep in mind that it does not guarantee placement in a specific classroom.  The form must be used in lieu of letters, email, telephone calls, or special meetings to discuss student placement.  Some final reminders:

·     All class placements are tentative through October 2017.

·     This form is due to the office Monday, May 22nd by 4:00 p.m.

·     First day of school for 2017-2018 school year will be Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017.
