Marshall Lane Elementary School

Message from the Principal

Important information from Mrs. Spencer

Dear Marshall Lane Families,

I hope that this finds you all well and enjoying the summer after such a difficult year! At this time, we are working on planning for the new school year. The situation continues to change and our district is making plans to address our new reality.

A survey regarding AB 130 and Independent Studies for students whose health would be at risk if they attended school during the 2021-2022 school year was sent out last week by people at the district office. If you have not yet responded, please do so.. The survey is due tomorrow, July 29th by 7:00 p.m. The information that is gathered will be used to make plans for the school year.

Based on the recommendations from the Public Health Department and the California Department of Education, everyone will be required to wear masks inside when we return to school. Masks will not be required outside. Please make sure that your child is able to wear a mask for extended periods of time. We will also continue to have students wash their hands frequently and our custodians will sanitize all classrooms and common areas. As conditions evolve, we will keep you updated on any changes.

As we move closer to August 19th, more information will be shared with you, so please continue to check your email and both the district and Marshall Lane websites for updates. Thank you!

We look forward to our partnership with you during the 2021-2022 school year! See you soon!

Priscilla Spencer, Principal
