Does your child ever come home without their jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt? Have they lost a lunch box, snack container, or water bottle?  Our Lost and Found cart is overflowing with items that are missing their owners!

Items can be claimed before school any day this week or the week after the President’s Day holiday. Parents may enter campus in the morning before school begins and look on the cart near the staff lounge for any missing items. Students may check out the Lost & Found for their items

To clean off our Lost & Found cart, we will be donating any leftover items to a local charity on

March 1st. If any parent is willing to help pack up and transport items to a charity, please email Mrs. Spencer at pspencer [at] campbellusd.orgpspencer [at] campbellusd.org () to volunteer. Thank you!!

Hello Marshall Lane Parents,

Our school planning process includes the survey feedback that we receive from our community. Last week, we invited you to participate in a survey with the opportunity to provide feedback anonymously. This feedback will be used to celebrate our successes and to create action plans for improvement. If you have already filled out the survey, thank you very much!

If you have not already participated, please take a few minutes to complete the Parent/Caregiver Satisfaction Survey at this link: Survey Link

Thank you in advance for helping us by providing valuable feedback about Marshall Lane by Friday, February 18th.

Have a wonderful day!

Today is a day to celebrate!!!  After having students out on distance learning for the majority of the last school year, it is wonderful to have everyone back on campus for the past 100 days! Although we still need to maintain the mitigating factors that we have put into place to try to avoid spreading the virus, being back at school has been a gift for all of us!

Thank you for your continuing support for your children and for the Marshall Lane staff, We truly appreciate ALL of your efforts! Let’s continue to work together to make the next 80 days of school the best that they can be!!

Please make sure that your children are at school on time every day. Keep them home if they are symptomatic and limit taking school days off for family trips. This will ensure that your children will be able to make the most of  the time that is left in this school year. Have a great day!

As you know, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) recently updated the Covid protocols for schools. This has changed our processes related to exposure notices, quarantine, and testing requirements. Recently, you received a letter via email outlining the new procedures. Please read it so you will be aware of the new requirements, protocols, and procedures.

Campbell Union School District and Marshall Lane School have many mitigating measures in place to prevent the spread of Covid at school.

  • Mask wearing is required of all students and adults on campus except when eating and drinking. This includes outdoor areas, at this time. Please ensure that your child has a well-fitting mask that stays above their nose. Recommended types are N95 or KN95 for the best protection for children and adults.

  • Students remain in their classroom cohorts while eating lunch.

  • Weekly surveillance testing is recommended for all students and staff members. This is available every Wednesday at school free of charge. To enroll in Grapefruit’s testing program, click here.

  • Ventilation systems at school are hospital quality and filters are changed on a regular basis. As much as possible, doors and windows to classrooms remain open.

  • Vaccinations are highly recommended for all children and adults.

  • Hand hygiene is encouraged on a regular basis.

  • If children or adults are experiencing any symptoms, they should stay at home.

As a supportive community, we need to continue to work together to protect each other. Thank you for all of your efforts to keep everyone healthy and safe! You are appreciated!

Dear Marshall Lane School Families:

To protect everyone at our school, please continue to monitor the health of your child(ren) every day for any COVID19 symptoms

If your children are not feeling well, please keep them at home and report the absence to the school—especially if they are displaying cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms. There are five symptoms to keep an eye out for when it comes to the Omicron variant

  • Fever

  • Runny nose with any other symptoms

  • Throat pain

  • Dry Cough

  • Body aches

If these symptoms exist, have your children tested at a clinic or test site to determine whether they are positive for COVID-19. Please report positive results to the school health office.

As always, our goal is to protect our students, families, and community from the spread of Covid. We appreciate your help and cooperation with this.

Vaccine Clinic this Saturday, January 8th, 2022 at Rosemary School

According to the CDC, vaccines remain the best public health measure to protect people from COVID-19, slow transmission, and reduce the likelihood of new variants emerging. COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalizations, and death. The CDC recommends that everyone 5 years and older protect themselves from COVID-19 by getting fully vaccinated, and that everyone 12 years and older get a booster shot after completing their primary COVID-19 vaccination series.

Our staff wants to welcome you back to school for the 2022 school year! We hope that you have had a wonderful holiday break!

To protect everyone at our school, please continue to monitor the health of your child(ren) on a daily basis for any Covid symptoms. If they are not feeling well or are displaying any symptoms, please keep them at home and have them tested at a clinic or test site before bringing them back to school.

Free testing through Grapefruit Medical is still available at Marshall Lane every Wednesday for students who have parental permission. The mobile testing site is open 7 days per week in the Monroe Middle School PLC parking lot. We need to continue to work together to ensure a healthy environment for our students, staff, and community. Thank you for your efforts to help us with this.

Due to the global pandemic, there has not been any standardized state testing since the spring of 2019.  State testing will return this year after spring break. Students in 3rd to 5th grades will complete these assessments to provide us with information about overall academic achievement.

Third to fifth grade teachers will be providing schedules for the testing in their classrooms. Please do not schedule any family vacations or regular medical or dental appointments on any of these dates to ensure that your child will be present for the testing. It is more important than ever to be able to assess our students’ achievement at this time. We appreciate your help in making sure that your children are at school for this important testing.

Our sincere thanks for everyone who has completed the volunteer requirements and has been approved by the district to be on campus. We truly appreciate your willingness to help out at our school.

Although many people have been approved at this point, only a few are assisting at lunchtime. We need more help at this important time during the day! This will be especially important on rainy days since children will spend their play time in their classrooms.

In order to have smaller numbers of students on our playgrounds and in the eating area, there are three lunch times--one for Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten & 1st grades, another for 2nd & 3rd grades, and the last one for 4th & 5th grades. Lunch and play times for different grade levels do not overlap. The entire time is 11:10 to 1:14. It helps if you can commit to the entire time, but we also accept assistance at one or two lunch times.

Please consider committing to one or two days per week to assist us with this important job, if you are available. Thank you!

This year, our district has received additional funding to help support our students after almost a year of distance learning during the 2020-2021 school year.  Assessments have been used to identify students who are in need of a higher level of support.

A Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) instructional aide has joined our staff at Marshall Lane. Her name is Dimple Bhayani and she is an experienced instructional assistant who has received specialized training in how to support students in their literacy development. Her work is mostly at the early levels supporting phonemic awareness in Kindergarten and first grade students. She also conducts a book club for higher level readers in 4th grade and provides some supervision at recess and behavioral support. We are thrilled to have Mrs. Dimple at our school!

In addition, the district has also provided a math coach for us this year using the additional funding that was provided. Mrs. Jill Reynolds is an experienced teacher and has joined us to support math instruction in third to fifth grades. She has been a great addition to our staff!

We are thrilled to have both of these experienced professionals working with us to support our Marshall Lane students this year.
