Dear Parents,
Last week, we received some good news from Tom Torlakson, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Based on the information on the Dashboard located on the California Department of Education website, Marshall Lane has qualified to apply for the California Distinguished School Award.
This is a very prestigious award and the application process is quite rigorous. We will be working on writing the application over the next few weeks and will submit it to the state for consideration. There is no guarantee that Marshall Lane will ultimately receive the California Distinguished School Award. However, we will do our best on the application to describe all of the great instructional practices that are happening at our school.
As always, our staff appreciates your ongoing help and support.

Please plan to join us at a special meeting to find out about the Campbell School of Innovation (CSI). This is the new Transitional Kindergarten to 4h grade school in our district. It will be housed on the campus of Campbell Middle School. Every year, one grade will be added to the school until it reaches 8th grade. Eventually, CSI will be a TK to 8th grade school in our district.
