Marshall Lane Elementary School

WELCOME BACK MESSAGE for FAMILIES

Welcome Back!

Welcome back for the new school year for all of our returning students and to those who are new to Marshall Lane--we are so happy that you will be joining us! We are all excited about beginning a new year!

Our teachers are back and have been participating in professional development, collaborating with their colleagues, and creating learning plans for your students. Thanks to everyone who came to our drive by pick ups to obtain Chromebooks for your student(s). If you have not yet done so, your student will need their QR code to log on to their Zoom meetings and learning plans starting on the first day of school--AUGUST 24th.  Contact your teacher to come by to obtain your student’s QR code, if you did not already receive it.

Attendance is mandatory and roll will be taken each day. If your child is ill or will not be joining us for any reason, please call the attendance line in our office to report your child’s absence at (408) 341-7076 or email our attendance clerk, Tricia Urrutia at turrutia [at] campbellusd.org.

The school day will begin at 8:30 and will run until 2:15. There will be a blend of synchronous (live) and asynchronous (independent) work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday, and Fridays. On Wednesdays, students will have a morning meeting with their teacher and then complete unfinished work, do enrichment activities, and work on assigned projects. Small group instruction, English Language Development classes, reading intervention, and the resource specialist program instruction will also take place on Wednesdays. Teachers may also conduct office hours on Wednesdays so students or parents can ask questions. We know that over time, the schedules will be adjusted based on the needs of the students in the class.

We are looking forward to a successful year for all of our students. Remaining flexible and nimble are essential as we keep everyone safe and respond to the current conditions. Take care and be well!
