Marshall Lane Elementary School

Principal's Message for January 28th, 2016

Dear Marshall Lane Families,

Thanks to everyone who attended our Family Literacy Night last week.  Students and their parents attended three different sessions where they participated in hand-on activities and learned about supporting literacy at home.  A special thanks to all of our wonderful teachers who gave up an evening to conduct the sessions.

STEAM Night at Marshall Lane is coming up on Wednesday, March 2nd.  This is an evening devoted to hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math activities for students and their families.  This event has been very popular in the past and children and adults enjoyed the experience.  Hope to see you there!

The district Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) and STEAM Night will be held at Monroe Middle School on Wednesday, March 30th from 4:00 to 7:00.  Students from Marshall Lane will perform some musical selections under the direction of our music teacher, Mrs. Sharon Rosen.  A variety of booths will highlight STEAM projects from Marshall Lane as well as all of the other schools in the district.  Activities will be provided for attendees.  Join us!

Sincerely,

Priscilla Spencer
