Marshall Lane Elementary School

Message from the Principal - October 23, 2015

As Halloween approaches, students begin to get excited about the holiday. At Marshall Lane, one of our most popular events is a family celebration of Halloween called The Pumpkin Walk that takes place this year on Saturday, October 24th from 1:00 to 5:00. This tradition began 44 years ago with a small event that consisted only of a pumpkin walk activity with nothing else. It has grown into a huge family carnival with a costume parade, games for the kids to play, a haunted house, food booths, a bake sale, a cake decorating contest, a petting zoo, a bounce house, inflatable slide, a climbing wall, and racecars, among other things.

We hope that you and your family and friends will join us on Saturday to enjoy this wonderful event and to socialize with other members of the community.

Help is still needed to ensure that all booths and activities will remain open during the entire event and to help set up before and clean up after. If you have not yet signed up and can assist, please log on to Konstella or sign up one the board in the breezeway.

Hope to see you there!
Priscilla Spencer, Principal
