Marshall Lane Elementary School

Support for Others

Sign that says great job

Back in December, our Expect Respect students held a Holiday Craft Fair. The students created beautiful homemade ornaments and gifts to sell. All of the money they raised was donated to two elementary schools that were affected by the Camp Fire.

The principal of Concow Elementary School called last week to thank us personally for the generous donation to their school. They have given the money to their PTA to be spent on something that will benefit all of their students.

The team at Paradise Elementary School wrote a thank you note. Part of it said, “Your generosity will no doubt aid in our recovery and provide hope for our school community. We are beyond grateful to you for the thought and effort that was put into your donation. For those who have lost so much, it means the world to have others think of them and organize such considerate donations.”

Kudos to the Expect Respect students and their adult Cornerstone leaders for supporting this important effort to help these schools recover from their overwhelming loss.
