Supervision Before and After School

In order to ensure student safety, our expectation is that students will arrive between 8:00 and 8:20 in the morning.  When they come to school, they are to wait in the breezeway adjacent to the office.  At 8:10, they are dismissed to their classrooms.  At this point, students must line up outside their classrooms.  At 8:17, teachers will open their doors to let students in so instruction can begin at 8:20.  Playing before school is not allowed since there is no supervision on the playgrounds.

 At the end of the day when students are dismissed there are two places where they may wait to be picked up.  One is in the lower parking lot and the other is in the upper parking lot.  Staff members are present there to supervise students until they are picked up.  Students should not be directed to wait by the Sobey Road gate since there is no supervision there and cars cannot stop in that area to pick up students.

Please do not tell your children that they can stay and play after school is over, unless there is another parent who is responsible for supervising them.  Thank you!
