Marshall Lane Elementary School

Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

On Wednesday, March 2nd, our PTA and teachers will be conducting a very special evening event for families.  It is our STEAM Night which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.

A variety of different displays and hands-on activities will be available for students to participate in from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  This will include an opportunity to explore some tornado tubes, build a catapult, program some Blue Bots, play some math games, witness a dissection, and do some stargazing with the San Jose Astronomical Association! This group will be bringing back several high-powered telescopes to help us look at the stars.

This event is traditionally one of the best attended event of the year.  Join us!  A special thanks to Jodie Topping, Alex Allen, Bindi Gill and Jyh Wong for organizing the event and to all of the teachers and parents who will be helping run the booths and activities.  It will be a fantastic evening!

Congratulations to the Mustang Chorale Choir and choir director Gosia Hoot for their outstanding performance at the Saratoga State of the City event.  Our students sang three songs and sounded great.  The audience and dignitaries who were present for the event gave them a standing ovation!!  Well done!

As always, thank you for sharing your children with us.

 Sincerely,

Priscilla Spencer, principal
