October is a busy month at school with lots of learning taking place and a variety of special events happening. Please take a look at the events listed and add them to your calendars.

Saturday, October 13th—Parent Universityat Monroe Middle School from 8:00 to 12:00; register for classes on parenting and school related topics on the district website at campbellusd.org

Week of October 15thto 19th—Parent/Teacher Conferences—students will be dismissed at 12:35 every day. Please make a plan to pick them up on time!

Thursday, October 18th—Great American Shake Out Earthquake Drill; Marshall Lane will join school and businesses across the nation in emergency preparedness activities.

Friday, October 19th—COLLEGE DAYto celebrate higher education and every child reaching their full potential; wear college gear on this first spirit day of the year

Tuesday, October 23rd—NED Show Assembly(Never give up, Encourage others, Do your best). This popular assembly provided social-emotional development and thrills students with yo-yo tricks. It inspires students to learn how to play with yo-yos and do tricks. Assembly organizers and volunteers will be selling yo-yos in the breezeway after school from October 23rdto October 29th

Saturday, October 27th—PUMPKIN FEST from noon to 5:00. Wear your costumes and come out and enjoy the fun. Hope to see you there!

Wednesday, October 31st—Halloween Day--please note that costumes are not permitted at school on this day

Let’s make the most of this month by encouraging children to be self-directed, innovative, critical thinkers, collaborative and empathetic.You can do your part by supporting your teacher(s) and the school as well as practicing these important competencies at home.
