Marshall Lane Elementary School

Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

As we begin to look forward to  the 2016-2017 school year, our staff will begin to form classes for next year.  Various criteria that include, but are not limited to, gender, academic level, English Language Learner status, learning style, special needs,  and behavior are all taken into consideration when placing students in classes. If there is any specific information that you believe that we need to know about your child in making placement decisions, a form is available in the office for that purpose.  It needs to be turned in between now and Friday, April 29th. Since our goal is to have balanced classes, requests for specific teachers will not be accepted. Thank you in advance for respecting this process.

During the last week of school, our Marshall Lane yearbook will be coming out.  This is always a happy and exciting day for our students.  For the past two years, 5th grade parent Karen Coburn has done an amazing job producing a fabuous yearbook for our students.  Since her son is moving on to middle school, we have a need for someone to step up and take charge of organizing the yearbook for the 2016-2017 yearbook.  Karen has graciously agreed to  be a consultant to anyone who is willing to do this task.  The yearbook can be created by a single person or a team of people working together.   If this is something you can help us with next year, please call our office at (408) 364-4259 for more information.  Thank you on behalf of our students.

As always, we appreciate your help and support.  Thank you for sharing your students with us.

Warm Regards,

Priscilla Spencer, Principal
