Marshall Lane Memo

Dear Marshall Lane Community Members,

Welcome back to school, for all of you who are continuing at Marshall Lane.  To those of you who are new—welcome to our school!  It is a fantastic place to be and I know that you and your child/ren are really going to enjoy it here!

As we begin the new school year, I hope that you will consider joining the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Marshall Lane.  This group does so much to enrich the children’s experience at school that they are invaluable partners.

I also hope that you will attend all of the important events that are coming up this month.  The first one is tomorrow—Friday, August 21st.  It is a Back to School Family Picnic that will take place on the upper field from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy some socializing with other Marshall Lane families.  Jamba Juice will be sold along with slices of Round Table pizza. I will see you there!

The next event will be on Wednesday, August 26th.  It is Back to School Night for our Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes.  This is an important event for our TK & K families.  It takes place from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. We hope to see all of our TK & Kindergarten parents there.

 Back to School Night for students in first to fifth grades will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m..  We hope to see all 1st to 5th grade parents at this event.

 I am excited about this new school year at Marshall Lane.  Enthusiasm and optimism are in the air.  Here’s to a great 2015-2016!  Let’s work together to make it the best year yet!
