Marshall Lane Elementary School

Heat Advisory Plan for Friday, September 1st

As you know, extreme heat has been predicted for today.  In addition, there is also a “Spare the Air Day” scheduled due to the likelihood of the worst air quality in many years.

At Marshall Lane, “Safety First” is always our motto.  We care about the health and safety of all of the children and adults at our school site.   In response to this situation, we will be having a “rainy day” or in this case, an “extreme weather day” lunch period.  Students will eat in the cafeteria and then return to their air conditioned classrooms for a shortened lunch period.  In addition, p.e. classes will take place inside.

If you are available, we could use extra help in the classrooms.  No need to RSVP—just come by at 11:30 to help.  All noon aides, our administrator, and members of our office staff will support the students in the classrooms if we do not have enough parents who can assist us.

Have a wonderful three day weekend with your families and be safe out there!
