Award Winning Young Authors at Marshall Lane

Each year, a young writer's contest is sponsored by The Wooden Horse children's toy store in Los Gatos to find some local talent.  This year, students from Mrs. Sherry Moncrief’s second grade class entered the contest by writing spooky Halloween stories.

 We are very proud to announce that the first place winning authors that were chosen out of all of the second grade students who entered the contestare our own Elias Boger and Aditya Swaminathan for a spooky story entitled "The Grim Reaper" that they co-authored.  Both boys were honored with$25 gift certificates for The Wooden Horse.

 Three other students who entered the contest and were honored with participation awards and $3.00 gift certificates are Zeena Makhamreh, Jake Oderio, and Kai Sniffen.

 Congratulations to all of our talented second grade authors and to Mrs. Moncrief!  We are very proud of all of them!
