Dear Marshall Lane Students and Families,

Welcome to Marshall Lane for the 2015-2016 school year! All of us are busy preparing for your arrival. We are looking forward to having you join us for the first day of school for this year on Wednesday, August 19th at 8:17 a.m.  Below are some helpful tips to assist you in preparing for the new school year.

Help at Lunch Time August 21, 2015 - 4:17pm

Help needed with noon aides!!!  Paid and volunteer positions are available. Lunch duty begins at 11:30 and continues until 1:00. Inquire in the office, if you are interested.  Thank you
Dogs On Campus August 21, 2015 - 4:17pm

Although we love animals, our campus is not the proper place for them.  Dogs are not allowed on campus during the school day or before or after school.  Please respect this rule to protect all of our children.

Our upper field is open to the public at night and on the weekends and, as a result, we have noticed a lot of piles of dog excrement that are left on the grass.  This is problematic since students step into these piles.  We prefer that dogs are not at school. If you do bring your dog onto the campus when school is not in session, please clean up after them.  Thanks so much!
Improvements at Our School Site August 21, 2015 - 4:17pm

As you may have noticed, there have been some changes at our site over the summer.  In response to the need to conserve water, several grass areas have been replaced with artificial turf.  It looks wonderful.

Also in process is the replacement of our old sign in the lower parking lot.  A brand new electronic sign will be installed in about six weeks or so.

At Marshall Lane, we practice Positive Behavior Intervention and Support.  This is based on the STARS expectations that we have for all students.  STARS stands for:

Staff Changes at Marshall Lane August 21, 2015 - 4:17pm

I am pleased to report that our entire talented group of teachers will be returning to Marshall Lane this year, with the exception of one teacher. Ms. Andrea Lawryk decided to return to Rosemary where she did her student teaching. She will be teaching 4th grade this year. We wish her well.

Former Campbell Middle teacher, Kim Sisemore will be joining our 5th grade staff. We are very fortunate to have a former middle school teacher at our school to assist us in preparing our students as they move on to 6th grade. Please join me in welcoming her into the Marshall Lane family.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make the first day of the 2015-2016 school year such a smooth one. 

Many of our teachers came back from their well-deserved vacations early to begin preparing their classrooms for your children.  They worked tirelessly to get ready for the year to begin.  We are grateful for their dedication and strong work ethic.
