Priscilla Spencer

Priscilla Spencer has been the principal at Marshall Lane Elementary School since January 2013. Previous to working in the Campbell Union School District, Mrs. Spencer taught the three year old class at Westside Co-op Preschool and K/1 at a parent participation elementary school in the neighboring Moreland School District at Moreland Discovery School. Her administrative experience includes working at the district office in Moreland as a Teacher on Special Assignment in the Curriculum and Instruction Department and serving as a principal at Country Lane Elementary School as well as in the Almaden Valley at Graystone Elementary School in the San Jose Unified School District.
A graduate of Santa Clara University, Mrs. Spencer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts, a Children's Center Instructional Permit, a California Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD) Teaching Credential, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and a California Administrative Credential.
In reflecting on why she works in education, Mrs. Spencer wrote:

"I believe that all children can learn.
I believe that all children are motivated to learn.
I believe that it is our moral imperative to help them to learn."

In alignment with the Marshall Lane Mission Statement, Mrs. Spencer's goal for the 2018-2019 school year is as follows:
"I am committed to helping inspire and empower life-long learners who possess the mindset and skills to thrive in a changing world."

Once a month, Mrs. Spencer conducts a "Chat with the Principal" to convey information to parents and community members and to answer any general questions about Marshall Lane.
