Safety in the Parking Lot

Safety of our students at Marshall Lane is our number one priority. Please help us by following all of the safety rules in the parking lot:

• Drive slowly and carefully, stopping for pedestrians.

• Use the crosswalks at all times for crossing the parking lot.

• Pull up right before the crosswalk in the lower lot and as far as possible in front of Campbell Care in the upper lot to facilitate quick loading and unloading of students. Do not drop students off in other places in the lot unless you park and accompany them onto the school site.

• Have students exit the car on the school side, never on the outside of the lane.

• Remain in your car while students exit so you can pull away as soon as they are out of the car.

• Keep backpacks in the car with your student, not in the truck or back part of a van.

• Park only in regular parking spaces. Do not park in the spaces that are designated for staff members or that have signs for “Marshall Lane VIPs”.

• Never park along the fence in the lower lot that is marked “Do not park here” or in the driveway that leads to the cafeteria.

Working together, we can help to keep all of our students safe. A big thanks to the parents who have volunteered to assist in the parking lot in the mornings. This has been extremely helpful.
