Marshall Lane Elementary School

Principal's Message

From the principal

Welcome back! I hope that you all had a fun and festive Thanksgiving and were able to spend time with your family and friends. Before we know it, the holiday break will be here! Keep in mind that children are expected to be in school, on time, every day. Please do your best to ensure that students’ schedules remain intact as much as possible and your children try to make sure that they are getting enough sleep and eating healthy food so that they can continue to learn at high levels at school.

We are excited about our school play this year!  Eighty-one children have been practicing since September to present a production of Lion King, Jr. It is a very difficult show and the students have been doing a great job learning songs in another language and portraying their characters.  I think that it is going to be an awesome production!

The casts will be doing two short school assemblies next Wednesday, December 5th during which they will sing a few songs from the show. The Desert cast will perform at 9:30 and the Savannah cast will perform at 10:30. Feel free to join us for these assemblies.

Regular performances of Lion King Jr.  will be on Thursday night, December 6th at 6:00 p.m. with the Desert cast and Friday night, December 7th with the Savannah cast at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, December 8th, the Savannah cast will perform at 11:00 a.m. and the Desert cast will perform at 2:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at https://marshalllanelionking.eventbright.com  Hope to see you there!
