From the Principal…

Dear Parents,

Last week, we received some good news from Tom Torlakson, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.  Based on the information on the Dashboard located on the California Department of Education website, Marshall Lane has qualified to apply for the California Distinguished School Award. 

This is a very prestigious award and the application process is quite rigorous.  We will be working on writing the application over the next few weeks and will submit it to the state for consideration.  There is no guarantee that Marshall Lane will ultimately receive the California Distinguished School Award.  However, we will do our best on the application to describe all of the great instructional practices that are happening at our school.
