Open Enrollment & Tours for Incoming Families

Do you have a child who will be entering Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or Kindergarten next year?  TK students are children who will turn 5 between September 2nd and December 2nd.  All Kindergarten students must turn 5 by September 2nd.  The enrollment dates for TK and Kindergarten are January 17th to February 10th.

If you have a current 4th grade student, there are two options for 5th grade.  You may choose to have your child stay at Marshall Lane or you may elect to move them on to 5th grade in a middle school setting.  Either way, you will need to fill out a 5th grade choice form before the enrollment deadline of February 10th to ensure your child’s spot either at Marshall Lane or in a middle school.  Once you have chosen, there is usually not flexibility, so you need to consider the choices wisely.  The enrollment window for current 4th grade students to choose placement for 5th grade is from January 30th to February 10th.  So, now is the time to start thinking about which placement is best for your child.

Parents of students who are currently in 5th grade will also need to fill out a transfer form if they do not want their child to attend their home middle school next year.  For example, if you are a Marshall Lane resident and you would like your child to attend Monroe Middle School, a form must be submitted between January 30th and February 10th to request an alternate placement.
