Additional Instructional Support in Literacy & Math

Extra support at Marshall Lane

This year, our district has received additional funding to help support our students after almost a year of distance learning during the 2020-2021 school year.  Assessments have been used to identify students who are in need of a higher level of support.

A Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) instructional aide has joined our staff at Marshall Lane. Her name is Dimple Bhayani and she is an experienced instructional assistant who has received specialized training in how to support students in their literacy development. Her work is mostly at the early levels supporting phonemic awareness in Kindergarten and first grade students. She also conducts a book club for higher level readers in 4th grade and provides some supervision at recess and behavioral support. We are thrilled to have Mrs. Dimple at our school!

In addition, the district has also provided a math coach for us this year using the additional funding that was provided. Mrs. Jill Reynolds is an experienced teacher and has joined us to support math instruction in third to fifth grades. She has been a great addition to our staff!

We are thrilled to have both of these experienced professionals working with us to support our Marshall Lane students this year.
